JEE Main 2025 Exam Dates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently revealed the JEE Mains 2025 Exam Dates. The first session of NTA JEE Main 2025 is scheduled from January to February, while the second session will be conducted from 1 April to 15 April. Candidates should regularly visit the official JEE Main website to keep track of all the updates related to the exam.

To appear in the examination, candidates must complete the JEE Main 2025 registration process, which will be conducted online. Eligible candidates who have finished their 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) can apply for the IIT JEE Main.

Registration for the January session is anticipated to commence in the first week of December 2023. Soon, NTA will formally announce the JEE Main 2025 application form date.

Every year, almost 10 lakh applicants take the JEE Main exam. The scores determine admission to BTech programs at NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. JEE Main Paper 2 marks are also used for admission to BArch and BPlan programs at certain participating institutions. JEE Main is the screening examination for applicants to the JEE Advanced exam, held for admission to BTech programs at IITs.

JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The NTA will provide the eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2025 in the official notification. It is vital for aspirants to carefully review and ensure their eligibility before applying for the exam. Failing to meet these criteria could result in the cancellation of their candidature.

  • Candidates must have finished their 10+2/HSC education or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Candidates who passed their Class 12 exams in 2023 and 2024 or are appearing in 2025 are eligible, regardless of age.
  • Candidates must have passed five subjects, including Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject or any other relevant subject.
  • For those seeking admission to B.Tech /B.Arch /B. Plan programs in IITs, NITs, and CFTIs. A minimum of 75% marks (or 65% for SC/ST category candidates) or placement in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards is required.
  • For B.Arch admission outside of IITs, NITs, and CFTIs, candidates must attain the least aggregate of 50% marks in PCM Subjects in their 10+2 or equivalent exams.

How to apply for JEE Main 2025

Here are the steps to complete your JEE Main 2025 registration process:

  1. Visit the official website.
  2. Locate and click on the "JEE Main 2025 registration" link.
  3. Fill in all the required information as specified and click the "Submit" button.
  4. You will receive an email & text message at the email ID & contact number you provided during registration. These messages contain essential details such as your application form number and password. It is important to save these registration details for future reference.
  5. After registering, you will be directed to a page where you need to fill out the detailed application form. This form will require you to provide information about your educational qualifications, parental details, communication and permanent addresses, and preferred examination centre.
  6. Upload scanned images of your passport-sized photograph and signature.
  7. Proceed to make the necessary payment for the application fee.
  8. Once the payment is completed, the JEE Main 2025 application form will be automatically submitted.
  9. Download and save a copy of the filled-out JEE Main 2025 application form, and take a printout of it. Retaining a printed copy of the application form for your records throughout the admissions process is important.
