VSB Engineering College is situated in Karur in the Tamil Nadu state of India. Established in 2002 by VSB Educational Trust. In addition, the trust established another campus VSB College in Coimbatore, in 2012. VSBEC is a private institution allied with Anna University and has approval from AICTE to offer the courses. The college has an exceptional infrastructure with 32 acres of lush green environment. The vision of the VSBEC Karur is to provide high-quality technical education to the students to improve discipline and self-confidence to become responsible human resources for the future. The aim is to achieve academic excellence in respective fields based on international standards.
VSB Engineering College Karur Courses include BE/B Tech and ME/M Tech at UG and PG levels. There is a lateral entry admission policy for BE/B Tech. BE/B Tech is available in Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, IT, Chemical, Biotechnology, and Biomedical. NBA accredits all engineering disciplines. While in ME/M Tech, three streams are available: Applied Electronics, CSE, and Power Systems.
Admission to VSB College is made as per the State Government Norms. 65% of seats are filled through Single Window Counselling Procedure. VSB engineering college counseling Code is 2622. According to the Tamil Nadu Government Norms, the remaining 35% of seats are filled through the Consortium of Self financing professional colleges. Admission to the B Tech is based on TNEA. Students who qualify in TANCET are eligible to enroll in M Tech. In addition, students who satisfy the VSB engineering college cutoff marks can acquire admission seats through single-window counseling. If not, applicants can opt for Management Quota. Management fees will be higher compared to the govt quota fees.
VSB engineering college fee structure for B. Tech will be Rs 2 lakhs, which students can pay in 4 installments of Rs 50,000 each. The Fees Structure for ME/M Tech will be Rs 1 lakh, which students can pay in two installments of Rs 50,000 each. VSB Engineering College Management Quota fee for B Tech is INR 85k per year. The VSB Karur management seat fee for an accredited M Tech course is INR 30k PA. While Non-Accredited M Tech, the fee is around INR 25k.
The college has nearly 173+ qualified faculties encouraging students to participate in all the activities. Students have access to numerous modern facilities. Among these are a hostel for boys and girls, laboratories, a computer center library, and many more. Candidates must pay a refundable amount to reserve the hostel rooms during the admission process because hostels run on a first-come-first-serve basis. VSB Engineering College Hostel fees will be Rs 45,000/- per year.
