VEC was founded in 2009 and is located in Khurda. It covers 40 hectares of the landscaped area within the corporate border of Bhubaneswar. It has AICTE and Government. Approved by Orissa and affiliated with the Biju Pattnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. Campus has a green atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
- The institute's primary focus is education, technology for well-being, research for development, and institutes for higher excellence. The institute offers a bachelor's degree in engineering in several disciplines.
- The institute has a library of 7,000 books, 1,000 titles, and 50 magazines and newspapers. In addition, students are encouraged to improve their skills and participate in extracurricular activities such as sports and cultural events.
- In the Institute, seminars and workshops are organized to teach the subjects practically and to know the concept thoroughly. In 2013, 12 students were located in Arihant Duraplast, three students in Meltech Infosystem, and one student in Balaji Industries Chennai.
Job placement believes in a learning organization where learning, understanding is a continuous process. The placement cell makes students outperform their peers and others in their competitive surroundings, and the cell offers several training sessions before hiring begins. Industrial visits are provided to motivate students to perform the task and also help to understand the latest trends and technological developments in different fields. The institute offers separate accommodation for ladies and gents. Students who wish to be admitted to the VEC hostel must request an accommodation at the time of admission. The school is located at N.H-5, Damanabhuin, Khurda, just 30 minutes by car from the capital.
