The Shri Vishnu Educational Society founded the Vishnu Institute of Technology Bhimavaram in 2008. The campus covers 11 acres. NAAC has accredited it with an "A+" Grade. It is permitted by AICTE and affiliated with JNTU, Kakinada. It was conferred autonomous status in 2019-20. VIT offers courses at the UG and PG levels in several specializations. In contrast, all engineering disciplines are accredited by the NBA. The Institute has 230 teaching members overall, and 3263 students are enrolled.
