Q.3. How shall I get a refund of the admission fees after the cancellation of my admission?
And.: If a student applies to the DDE authority of Vidyasagar University for cancellation of admission within 20 days from the date of admission, twenty-five per cent (25%) of the total fees will be subtracted as a processing fee, and the rest will be refunded. Withdrawal from the program after 20 days, no refund of fees will be admissible.
Q.4. What is the procedure for re-admission for failed or absent candidates?
Ans.: A candidate who cannot sit for an examination either at Part-I or Part-II for non-fulfilment of the requirements, such as attending PCP, securing qualifying marks in Part-I Examinations, or any other reasons (i.e., illness/non-appearing at an examination, etc.) is entitled to renew their studentship by filling-in an appropriate form prepared for this purpose and depositing required fees in this regard.
The candidate shall have to fulfil all the criteria afresh in the year of renewal without reference to the previous year's performance. A candidate shall get two chances of renewal. Thus, there may be three consecutive chances for Part I or II examinations.
Q.5.How are the classes conducted for Distance Learning at Vidyasagar University?
Ans.: Classes are called Personal Contact Programme (PCP) in ODL mode. PCPs are organized to allow the students to interact with leading experts who give counselling & advice rather than classroom speeches. Each student is expected to join at least 60% of the PCPs.
The exemption may be sought on medical grounds alone, supported by a valid certificate submitted before the end of the program. The schedules of the PCPs are informed to the students by notifying them on the website and by sending SMSs to the registered students.
