Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education established the Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College (VRSEC) in 1977. The mission of Siddhartha Academy was to establish and support top-notch educational institutions that will realign technical and professional education into a comprehensive view. And thus, VRSEC Vijayawada emerged as the Private Engineering college in Andra Pradesh.
UGC granted VR Siddhartha Engineering College an autonomous status in 2006. The Institute aims to cultivate brilliance in various engineering domains by teaching the students timeless core principles and transforming the school into a hub of academic excellence and cutting-edge research. As one of the premium engineering colleges in India, VRSEC Vijayawada has AICTE permission with quality assurance certification of ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9001:2015. VR Siddhartha Engineering College's courses list includes nine undergraduate(UG) programs with degrees in Bachelor of Technology( B.Tech) and nine postgraduate programs(PG) with degrees in Master of Technology (M.Tech). The College also has MBA and MCA offerings in its postgraduate courses. All the VRSEC's courses are quality assured as the Institute is affiliated with JNTU Kakinada. VR Siddhartha Engineering College admission is made per the guidelines of the Andhra Pradesh Government. The seat matrix of each college program has three categories with reservations of 70% of seats in category A under government seats, 30% are management seats, and lateral entry seats in the second year. The student's selection is based on the VRSEC Vijayawada cutoff ranking in the qualifying Common entrance examination. Students who don't satisfy the cutoff norms can opt for Category B Seats, commonly referred to as management quota.
Admissions to BTech require VR Siddhartha Engineering College EAMCET cutoff scores or JEE mains ranking. Students applying for MTech admissions must have valid GATE or AP PGECET Exam scores. Students interested in MBA and MCA admissions require good scores in the APICET examination. Additionally, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will undertake to counsel the shortlisted individuals. Candidates need to mention VRSEC Vijayawada as their preference during counseling. To qualify for the programs, students must submit the VR Siddhartha Engineering College application form on the College's official website.
