Delhi University initiated The School of Open Learning, initially known as School of Correspondence Program and Continuing Education, in the year 1962 is a pioneer Institution in Distance Education in India. In 1962, the school started with a decent admission of 900 students.

University of Delhi Directorate of Distance Education Admission
University of Delhi Directorate of Distance Education will be conducted both in online and offline mode. For admission into undergraduate courses, the application mode is online, followed by submitting the filled application form at the designated centers. For post-graduate courses, the application mode is offline.
Basic eligibility for admission into courses at UG level candidate must have completed 10+2 level examination in relevant fields with an aggregate of at least 50% marks from a recognized board of education. In the case of courses at the, PG level the candidate must have passed a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent qualification from a recognized university. PG admissions are offered under two categories, i.e., Entrance and Merit-based.
