Established in 1955, the institution was previously known as the Women's College, Dhanbad, and was originally functioning on the campus of Abhaya Sundri High School. Today, SSLNT Mahila Mahavidyalaya Dhanbad is a constituent college of Vinoba Bhave University, which the UGC accredits. It offers several specializations and a diverse student body. The College is a private institution accredited by NCTE.

SSLNT Mahila Mahavidyalaya Admission
Admission to SSLNT is competitive and merit-based. The admission process requires applicants to fill out an SSLNT college Dhanbad online admission form and submit it to the Institute. After completing the application form, students must pay the application fee of INR 100. The final selection will be made based on the merit list.
The minimum eligibility for admission is 50% marks in 10+2 board examinations. One must also be a Jharkhand resident. In the case of SSLNT Dhanbad B.Ed Admission, students must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline. Students applying for MA shall have obtained a bachelor's degree BA in the concerned stream. The application process will usually begins every year in June. SSLNT College Dhanbad admission's last date usually falls in August.
SSLNT Mahila Mahavidyalaya Scholarship
The College offers scholarships based on merit and poverty and is one of the few colleges in the region that provides scholarships to poor students. Scholarships are awarded based on a qualifying examination (10+2) from a recognized board of education. Selected Six students to receive a scholarship worth INR 28,800. Applicants for the PG scholarship must have completed a UG course with at least 55% aggregate marks.
SSLNT Mahila Mahavidyalaya Placement
SSLNT College Dhanbad Placement cell focuses on the needs of students and the industry. The Placement Cell also helps students to choose the right career path. The cell provides placement preparation sessions, including communication and personality development training, mock tests, and practice sessions on Quantitative Ability, Logical Ability, and Reasoning.
Placement is offered in various sectors and jobs. Students can choose from the public, private and entrepreneurial sectors. This institution also offers free SSB coaching and placement services to its students.
SSLNT Mahila Mahavidyalaya Infrastructure
SSLNT is located in the city of Dhanbad, Jharkhand. It is easily accessible from the airport, Dhanbad Railway Station, and Hirapur railway station. Students can reach the campus within ten to fifteen minutes. The SSLNTMM has an excellent infrastructure with modern classrooms, laboratories, a sports complex, and a tennis court.
There is also a provision for the SSLNT College hostel. There are three hostels in total (each three-storied building). The dormitories are well furnished with all conceivable amenities, including a mess hall, canteen, study rooms with a desk, chair, bed, and water fountains. The hostel fee is charged per annum and includes all the facilities. It also offers Wi-Fi in the hostel and campus.
