Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore (SKCET) is an AICTE-approved autonomous institution affiliated with Anna University and accredited with an 'A' Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college came into existence in 1998 to provide good quality education producing the most skilled engineers in the country. SKCET Coimbatore has been one of the most reliable educational institutions for over two decades. It has been ranked 78th among the engineering institutes in India with an overall score of 41.29, per the NIRF records. It is also graded with an excellent AAA+ by Careers 360 and placed among the top engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu.
Courses at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology are B Tech, MBA, MCA, and MBA. Apart from these, several Ph.D. programs are also available. SKCET has one of the best teaching staff in the country, consisting of 79 Ph.D. holders and 284 PG Degree holders. It also has a system known as CPDT (Centre for Professional Development and Training) that is established to improve the knowledge and skills of the teaching staff.
SKCET Coimbatore B Tech courses are available in 10 disciplines. Additionally, the college has been allied with TATA Consultancy Services Limited to offer B Tech in Computer Science and Business Systems. The college also provides an integrated program in the specialization of Computer Science and Engineering, B Tech+M Tech, for five years. SKCET Coimbatore fees structure varies for each course. Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology B Tech Fees is INR 50k per annum. For completing two years MBA, the total cost is INR 70k. For MCA, students have to pay nearly 35k on an annual basis.
In contrast, the M Tech tuition fee is 50k per annum. SKCET Management Quota fees for B Tech is approx. INR 1.4 Lakhs per annum.
There are various Clubs, Committees, and Societies available in SKCET that make the holistic development of the students possible. These societies provide exposure and help the students recognize their true potential. Some of the clubs are Creative club, Cyber Security club, Eco club, English literary club, Innovative club, IO club, Robotics club, Tamil literature club, and Theatre club. The college also provides the facilities of Labs, Library, Cafeteria, Banking, Transport, Wi-fi, Auditorium, and healthcare, making it one of the country's best and most integrated engineering colleges. The institution also provides hostel facilities to the students. It provides separate hostels for girls and boys. Admission to SKCET Coimbatore will be made as per the guidelines specified by Anna University. Applicants must ensure the required eligibility and cutoff criteria.
SKCET Coimbatore B Tech admissions are made as per the following procedure:
- Admission to BE/B Tech is offered through TNEA counseling. To register for TNEA, students must have pursued their HSC with an aggregate of 45% marks.
- Applicants must register using their basic details and are required to make the payment of
- Upon successful registration, candidates will be allotted 10 digits of random numbers. Counseling fees are INR 500 for General/OVC and INR 250 for SC/ST. Commonly known as TNEA Counselling Number.
- All applicants who have successfully registered for TNEA and have been allotted a random number must report to TNEA Facilitation Centre to verify their documents.
- TNEA merit list will be created based on marks obtained by the candidates in Class 12
- Now, those candidates whose names appear on the merit list have to attend the TNEA counseling and can choose the courses as per their requirements.
- TNEA DOTE will then release the list of final selected candidates. The admission for SKCET will be finalized after the required fees, and verification of necessary documents are paid.

SKCET Coimbatore PG Admission is made as per the following procedure:
- The college offers admission to the MBA, MCA, and M Tech at the PG level in various disciplines. The final seat allotment for all the PG courses is done through TANCA Counselling.
- TANCET Scores determine admission to the SKCET Coimbatore MBA or MCA. Applicants shall have completed their UG degree with a least 50%. Students who have valid CAT Scores are also eligible to apply for MBA.
- Admissions in ME are offered only to those candidates who qualify for TANCET or have already qualified for GATE. The applications are accepted through the website of GOAPS. The applicant must register first to create a new registration using one unique email id.
- Candidates can register online for TANCA Counselling through the official portal. All they need to have is an active number and email ID. Enter the relevant and personal details. Click on the submit button and make an online payment.
Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology Placement
Regarding placement, SKCET Coimbatore is one of the best engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu State. The college not only focuses on jobs but also provides internships and training courses to its students. For more than two decades, SKCET has continued to provide the best education to the students with modern educational facilities and excellent teaching staff. SKCET Placement Cell allows the students to go through various training camps and develop the skills required to get a good job. Over two decades, Sri Krishna College Coimbatore has collaborated with many top reputed companies like Amazon and Infosys to provide a wide and good number of options to the students looking for a job after graduation.
Some top recruiters are Paypal, Mindtree, Accenture, TVs, and Torry Harris. In the 2021-22 Sri Krishna College Placement Campaign, around 142 students were placed into these companies. In the year 2020-21, more than 130 students got placed, and in the academic year 2019-20, 138 students got placed from SKCET as per the official records of the institution.
The placement & training Cell is an integral part of the SKCET curriculum. Dr. Jayasudha Subburaj heads it, and the cell was established with the prime objective of helping the students get placed at top national and multinational companies. The placements of SKCET have set various standards every year, and good corporate communication helps in inviting top companies and the students being recruited directly by these top companies. Campus placement training is also crucial to the whole placement process. It improves the capabilities, knowledge, and skill level of the students.
The training process includes aptitude training through field veterans and is done by online learning portals. Other industrial training schemes like Infosys campus connect and Bootcamp training ensures that the students get the necessary technical skills required for the job. The motto of the placement cell is "Confidence comes from discipline and training."
