Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering is an autonomous Engineering college located in Mysore, Karnataka. SJCE Mysore was established in 1963 under the aegis of JSS Mahavidyapeetha. The Institute strives to be a premier Technical Institute by completing the TEQIP schemes. TEQIP is a Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme undertaken by the Indian government with the aid of the World Bank. AICTE approves the SJCE to offer technical education. In the beginning, the College offered three branches of engineering. And in 1968, SJCE Engineering College Mysore became the first Engineering College in Karnataka to introduce the Electronics and Communication department. Six of the SJCE Mysore branches are NBA accredited.

The courses offered in SJCE College Mysore are undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs. The degree offered in the undergraduate (UG) program is a Bachelor of Engineering. MBA, MCA, and  M.Tech courses in SJCE Mysore are the degrees under postgraduate (PG) programs. The Research program supplements Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees. Previously, Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering's affiliation was with VTU. But since the 2016 - 17 academic year, the Institute has been affiliated with JSS Science and Technology University.

SJCE Mysore admission procedure takes place through various Common Entrance tests. The entries for BE/B Tech are via KCET. Karnataka Govt will fill 95% of intake through KEA based on KCET valid rank in aided courses. While for Unaided courses, 50% of seats are filled by the govt through KEA counseling. Thus, 5% of seats for aided courses are reserved under the Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering Management Quota. For unaided courses, 50% of seats can be filled by college authorities as per their policies. However, to be eligible for admission under the KCET quota, students must satisfy the Sri Jayachamarajendra College Cut off.

Admission to the PG programs such as MBA, M Tech, and MCA is based on PGCET scores. 50% of seats are allocated for PGCET. The remaining 50% of seats are limited to SJCE Mysore Direct admission/Management Quota. Students shall have obtained a mark of 50% in the UG relevant stream to be eligible.

SJCE facilitates its student's education with educational and cultural events. The Institute is known for its 'Jayciana' annual fest, where students from all around India participate. The College upholds its goal of transforming education by providing BE degrees to working students. The SJCE Evening College Mysore Karnataka conducts evening classes for courses such as Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics

& Communication and Computer Science and Engineering

The sprawling 120 acres of SJCE Mysore campus area provides students essential services like ATM, stationery shop, medical facility, canteen, yoga center, meditation, and prayer hall. The Institute has hostel provisions within the campus area. There are distinct blocks for boys and girls with a total student capacity of 1000. The hostel facility includes drinking water, laundry service, solar heater, electricity, internet, and food mess. SJCE Mysore hostel fee structure varies from INR 50,000 to 69,000 yearly.

JSS SJCE  Mysore uniquely features student welfare clubs like SAMSKRUTHI cultural forum and JAYZINE college magazine. The Institute is among the reputed engineering colleges in the state for producing quality engineers. The SJCE Mysore alumni are Akhilesh Yadav, Javagal Srinath, Nidhi Subbaiah, and Dhananjay.

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering fee structure is INR 4.75 lakhs in total. Per annum, it will cost INR 1.18 lakhs. 

What is the B-Tech ECE cut-off accepted at SJCE admissions?

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering accepts COMED K or KCET scores for B-Tech admissions. SJCE cut-off for the ECE stream is 5087 ranks. 

What is the educational requirement for the M.Sc. program at SJCE?

For the M.Sc. program, it is necessary for the students to have completed a bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) without any backlogs and must have secured min of 45% marks. The entrance exam is not needed for admissions.
