Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad was started in the year 1963 by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), it was the second Municipal Corporation in India to establish its own Medical Institute. It is affiliated with the Gujarat University and approved by Medical Council of India.
- The institute is affiliated with 5 city hospitals where the medical aspirants can get trained in these colleges like Sheth Vadilal Sarabhai General Hospital, Ellisbridge, Ahmedabad, Smt. Shardaben General Hospital etc. The college hospital is consisting of 1800 beds in total. The medical institute is affiliated to Gujarat University and recognized by the MCI- Medical Council of India.
- Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad course is MBBS of 5.5 years of study period which has the mandatory rotating internship.
