Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute of Technology (SKMFIT) was started by the Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Charitable Trust in the year 2001. The aim is to provide quality education in technical field for economic development of the nation. The institute is ISO 9001:2008 certified, affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The mission of the institute is to achieve excellence in academics in Technology, Engineering, Management and Computer Applications field.
- The institute offers undergraduate courses like B.E. in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Civil Engineering and postgraduate courses like M.E. in Thermal Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Design and Power System Engineering.
- The campus covers 25 acres of land with facilities like hostel, auditorium, library, laboratory, cafeteria, medical, gym, sports and computer labs.
