SDM College of Engineering & Technology Course:
SDM College of Engineering & Technology offers is a private college affiliated to VTU, there are UG in B.Tech, PG in M.Tech and MBA also Ph.D. programs are proposed in various disciplines. So B.Tech is for 4 years and MBA and M.Tech is for 2 years duration. For candidates completed their diploma can take B.Tech in lateral entry that is direct 2nd year 3rd semester admissions for B.Tech progarm through counselling process.
B.Tech in SDMCET:
Major 7 specialisations are offered under B.Tech in SDM College of Engineering & Technology at under graduation level. To apply and seek admissions for any of the specialisations offered it is necessary that the candidate should be 12th passed with minimum 50% aggregate keeping PCM as main subjects. Followed by KCET counselling will be held and based on that seats to the opted college will be granted.
Karnataka state students would be eligible for reservation and for reserved category students there is 5% relaxation in the eligibility percentage. The intake of students to B.Tech for different specialisations differs like 30, 60, 90 and 120 based on the demand for the program.

M.Tech in SDMCET:
SDMCET offers full-time 2 years master’s program under engineering that is M.Tech, B.Tech graduate or related degree students can apply for the course having not less than 50% aggregate in the same. PGCET candidates appeared for counselling conducted by KEA and selected based on that rank can seek M.Tech admissions. The intake of the seats for M.Tech in different specialisations is same for all and just for one program the intake is 24. MBA in SDMCET:
MBA in SDMCET are offered with 4 specialisations through KMAT or other relevant entrance examination counselling seats to the college will be allotted. Candidates should be graduate having secured 50% in all the subjects on basis of that MBA admissions will be granted. Candidates just not from Karnataka but also other states students are eligible to apply however candidates should be qualified in related entrance exam. Ph.D. in SDMCET:
Full time 3 years Ph.D. program is offered by SDMCET, with proper eligibility and background candidates can apply for the course like minimum aggregate in required in masters also work experience is mandatory. The specialisations offered under Ph.D. are Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

SDMCET fee structure differs from course to course the fee is not same for KCET, COMEDK, Management quota or for NRI quota. Based on the quota the fee structure is put up, the fee slightly differs for the specialisations choose however when compared to all other top private colleges being one of the top engineering college the fee structure is feasible. SDM College of Engineering & Technology Admissions:
B.Tech: Through KCET or COMEDK counselling seats will be allotted and given SDMCET admission for BE. Based on the rank and the number of seats available students will be offered with the specialisation chosen seat.
M.Tech: Candidates appeared for PGCET counselling will be offered with M.Tech admissions in SDMCET. Candidates should have 50% and above in graduation as an eligibility criteria. For reserved category students 5% relaxation is given in eligibility.
MBA: Through KMAT or relevant entrance exam counselling basis seats will be allotted and shortlisted candidates will be given SDMCET admissions to MBA.
MCA: MCA admission to SDMCET will be done on basis of academic merit, candidates should be BCA graduate or should hold a related degree to get the eligibility.
Ph.D.: Master’s degree with minimum marks is required added to this it is necessary to have minimum years of work experience based on which Ph.D. admissions to SDMCET will be offered.
SDM College of Engineering & Technology Hostel:
SDM College hostel provides an academic oriented, holistic, interactive and healthy environment and to be independent. The college constitutes of 5 hostels inside the campus 2 for girls and 3 for boys. On basis of first-come-first serve hostel rooms will be allocated, each room is so spacious constituting wardrobes, cot, mattress, study table with chair etc. There is Wi-Fi enabled in the common areas and solar water heaters are equipped in the hostel.
As security purpose the hostel is under CCTV surveillance round the clock also there are on call service doctors when in need, wardens are designated for each hostel and all the facilities are maintained by professionals. SDMCET hostel fee differs based on the rooms shared by the students so depending on the rooms taken by the students hostel fee per candidate will be put up.

Placement cell plays an vital role in staffs as well students life, guidance is bee given to students and encouraging them to choose their field before any placement talks like not everyone wants to attend the placements rather few students opt for further studies. As early as in the 4th semester the on-boarding process of training starts as SDMCET placement process. Year by year the internship offerings are increased and only selected students would be able to get the opportunity.
