One of the top schools for technological education is SCMS School of Engineering and Technology (SCMS). It was approved in 2001 and is affiliated with Trivandrum's Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (AKTU). According to The Week's Education Survey, SCMS School of Engineering Ranking is 98th among the Top 100 Engineering Colleges in India. Additionally, NAAC gave the college a "B+" grade. SSET has constantly been included among the top 150 institutions of higher learning for technology.
The college has seven departments and offers B.Tech at the UG level and M.Tech and MCA at the PG level. UGC has recognized the SCMS Courses. KEAM is necessary for SCMS School of Engineering and Technology admission to the B Tech, while GATE entrance is required for M.Tech. SCMS applications can be found online.
At SCMS, there are certain seats reserved for Management Quota. SCMS School of Engineering and Technology management quota fee structure of B.Tech is near INR 5 lakhs for the entire program. SCMS College hostel fee will cost INR 53k per annum. Applicants can obtain the application forms through the college office or website.
Candidates who earned more than 90% in math, physics, and chemistry combined are eligible for an SCMS School of Engineering and Technology scholarship, which comes with an INR 25k fee reduction per year. Two students per branch enrolled under the management quota will get this scholarship, first come, first served.

SCMS School of Engineering and Technology Placements
The SCMS College Placement Cell collaborates with several businesses, like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Novelwax Digital, etc., that come to the campus to hire students. To assist students in learning new skills, the college and Infosys have inked an MoU to run a foundation and soft skills program. Additionally, the college has partnerships with several foreign universities, including HungKuan University, Daffodils International University, and Shiman University, which provide students with opportunities to work abroad.
The department coordinates on- and off-campus recruitments through aptitude testing, GD, interviews, and presenting skills training. Students can choose techniques for progress by determining their strengths and shortcomings. Moreover, colleges offer extensive support for their professional development.
Out of the 120 students in the computer science department, about 85 were hired by various businesses. SCMS School of Engineering and Technology's highest package offered was INR 12 LPA, while the SCMS average package was INR 2 LPA. Top placement companies include IBM, SAP, TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Bosch, Cognizant, IBS, Marriott, etc.
- 236 students received 257 job offers in 2018.
- In 2019, 290 job offers were made to 241 students.
