Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology is known as NIT Surat or SVNIT Surat. It is a public technical institution established in 1961. It is one of the 30 NITs recognized by the Indian Government as the "Institute of National Importance." NIT Surat is the Anchor Institution for the Auto & Engineering Sector, and they train the workforce. This project is conferred as the "Centre of Excellence" under TEQIP in water resources and flood management. ( Technical Education Quality Improvement Program) World Bank assists it.
Courses in SVNIT Surat are offered at UG, PG, and Doctoral levels. SVNIT Surat B Tech is available in eight branches. SVNIT Surat B Tech Admission
SVNIT Surat Admission Process for B Tech is mainly based on JEE Main rank followed by JOSAA Counselling. Applicants have to undertake JEE Main entrance test as the main step. Based on the results, they must register for JOAA Counselling. The seat allotment will take place through counseling rounds. SVNIT Surat MTech Admission
A two-year MTech program with 17 specializations is available. SVNIT Surat fees structure for M Tech is INR 95k. GATE exam results to determine admission into the program, which CCMT Counseling follows. B.E./B Tech degree in the pertinent branch from a reputable university or institution with a minimum overall score of 55% eligibility is necessary for NIT Surat M Tech. For sponsored candidates, at least five years of work experience is required. Along with eligibility criteria, applicants must satisfy the SVNIT Surat GATE Cut off.
NIT Surat MTech cut off
Through the CCMT Counseling procedure, candidates are chosen. Seats are assigned based on the GATE exam results, the available seats, the categories, and other considerations. Candidates who do not meet the GATE requirements must take an SVNIT Surat Entrance Exam. After qualifying for it, they will be contacted for an in-person interview. SVNIT Surat Integrated MSc Admission (BSc+MSc)
BSc in SVNIT Surat is available as a dual degree with a combination of MSc. Thus, it is conferred as Integrated MSc for a five-year duration. The course is available in three specialties: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Admission to the program is granted based on JEE Main rank. 10+2 with a minimum cumulative grade of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is necessary as an eligibility term. SVNIT Surat Ph.D. Admission
Under 10 departments in the fields of engineering and science, the NIT Surat Ph.D. program is provided to Full-Time/Part-Time/Sponsored research scholars. NIT Surat Ph.D. Admission is granted based on national entrance exams like GATE, UGC-NET, and JRF, followed by a written exam and personal interview administered by the relevant department.
A candidate must have earned a Master's degree in a relevant field of study with at least a 50% overall grade point average. (50 percent in the case of reserved candidates). It accepts the valid scores of GATE, UGC-NET, or JRF.
