Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Sardar Patel College of Engineering is a government-funded college established in 1962 in Andheri West, Mumbai. Founded by Dr. K. Munshi, SPCE Mumbai inspires and molds many youngsters' minds and futures. It provides great career options to hundreds of students who aspire to be successful engineers. It holds a legacy of more than 55 years as a leading educational institute. As one of Maharashtra's best engineering colleges, SPCE is recognized by TEQIP (Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme). Affiliated with the University of Mumbai, SPCE has received Grade A+ ratings for its aided and Grade A for its un-aided courses. Furthermore, SPCE was the first college affiliated with Mumbai University to offer part-time degrees and Postgraduate courses.
SPCE offers Graduate programs, Postgraduate programs, and Doctoral programs. Sardar Patel College of Engineering Courses includes B Tech, M Tech, B Tech Lateral, and Ph.D. in varied disciplines. Civil and Mechanical Branches have been accredited three times by NBA. In contrast, Electrical Engg has been accredited twice. Sardar Patel College of Engineering's admission procedure differs for both B.Tech and M.tech courses. To be eligible for B Tech admission, The candidate must have studied Maths and physics as compulsory and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ any technical subjects as optional in class 12th. Then, they must qualify either for JEE Main or MHT CET Examination. The seat allotment will be done through CAP (Centralized admission process), which DTE Maharashtra administrates. Admission to M Tech is based on the GATE score. Candidate must have done graduation with at least 50% (45% for the reserved categories) marks in the relevant field. Sponsored applicants must have 2 years of full-time work experience in a registered company/ industry/research institute/ educational institute or any Autonomous Government Organisation in relevant disciplines.
However, the final selection of the students is solely based on the cutoff criteria. Henceforth, admission seekers must score identical to the Cut off rank for SPCE Mumbai. Under B Tech, three specializations are available Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical. SPCE Mumbai CET Cut off 98-99.49 for the 1st round. To be noted, Sardar Patel College of Engineering Cut-offs vary yearly.
SPCE also offers campus facilities like a central library, canteen, infrastructure, hostel, mess, computer center, sports and games, and medical services. This college contains more than 40+ facility members; all have great knowledge in their specialized fields. High Tech Labs and the library contains 45,000 books and 11,000 e-books. Many sports like cricket, volleyball, football, chess, etc., are played here. Hostel and mess services for both girls and boys are available here.
