Institute was founded in 2001 which is affiliated to Anna University, NAAC 'A' grade certified with AICTE, NBA accredited courses and it is the best place for pursing engineering. Engineering College is in 5th place among the college in Tamil Nadu. The total number of students in the university is 3000. The university offers seven UG and PG programmes. Aspirants learn from the best teachers with solid technical knowledge and enjoy a balanced education.
- PEC offers you a global stage of the advanced technical training platform i.e. mini-project every semester. The Department of Placement, training and Student Affairs have also organized internship programs for students interested in various governmental organizations and industries throughout the year.
- Scholarship facility is provided in the institute with criteria of 95% aggregate marks in previous academic year (Prathyusha Merit scholarship), Sri Sivaramaya merit scholarship for students securing 8.5CGPA and above in University and government scholarships for deserving candidates.

The infrastructure is pretty good. College is clean, and food is hygienic. College provides good placement and job opportunities for the students. Every department offers industrial visits. PEC gives us space for both academics and extracurricular activities. PEC offers equal opportunities for all boys and girls to participate in extracurricular activities like workshops, clubs. There will be a cultural fest and farewells. The classes are maintained neat and clean. Hostels maintenance is also excellent and hygienic.
