Potti Sreeamulu Telugu University started distance education in 2001 by establishing a distance education center. This was initially created with PG courses, and they introduced a PG program in Astrology. This center is now developed drastically with various courses under UG, PG, Diploma, and certificate courses in several specializations.
The courses at PSRTU, the center of Distance Education, are all recognized by DEC, the council for distance education. The main motive behind starting up this center was to offer a wide variety of courses in higher education through distance education mode.

PSTU, CDE provides UG courses like BA under specializations like Carnatic Music and Special Telugu. Interested candidates who can apply for this course should have minimum eligibility. One must have passed intermediate with minimum marks. Bachelor of Arts in Carnatic music is for four years, and BA in Telugu is for two years.

Centre for Distance Education PSTU offers PG programs through distance education. PSTU offers courses like MA, MCJ, and PG Dunder distance PG programs. Students interested can apply for these courses only if the eligibility criterion is met. The eligibility is that one must hold a good degree, and merit base selection will be made for admissions.

Admissions in PSTU, CDE are done based on the counseling held for each individual, and admissions will be preceded with candidates only if they meet the eligibility criteria specified for each course.

Application fee duly filled along with all the documents. The demand draft of INR 300 and INR 400 should be paid in favor of “The Registrar, Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University” payable at Hyderabad through the post. Cheques, cash, money orders, postal orders will not be permitted for payment. Applicants are advised to write the address, name, and course behind the DD.
The application form, along with the prospectus, can be collected from the PSTU, Centre of Distance Education- Director, or obtained through the official website. Application form should be submitted along with demand draft and documents in person or through registered post to the below address:
