VIT University Placement Cell Roles & Responsibility

Vellore Institute of Technology has a strong placement record. VIT provides its students with numerous possibilities to pursue their career aspirations. More than 250 companies visit the VIT Vellore campus and take part in campus drives every year. VIT has a placement cell called CDC. (Career Development Cell) It plays a vital role in producing an eminent placement rate of VIT. It makes sure smooth functioning of placement happenings. It provides industry oriented training. And makes sure that students get placed in the best companies with good packages.

VIT Vellore has accomplished a position in Limca Book of Records" for the 8^th time for its exceptional placement record. As per 2021-22 Placement Statistics of VIT, The highest package was INR 75 LPA. More than 100 fortune companies have participated in the drive. The total number of offers made was 717. In the first phase of the placement session, 81 students from all 4 VIT Vellore, Chennai, Amravati, and Bhopal received more than Rs. 25 LPA

The activities carried out by CDC are career counselling, soft skill training, Industry engagements, placement training, industry internships, higher education training, alumni events, NASSCOM (Skill Development, Several Contests, Industry Conclaves etc

Placement Training at VIT Includes Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Coding tests, Resume Building, Aptitude tests, Soft Skills, Industry visits etc Professional trainers and VIT alumni help students prepare for aptitude exams GD/Interview. VIT Invites industry experts to conduct seminars.

The University provides its students with 3 types of campus placement opportunities.

Mass Offer that offers Rs. 6 LPA CTC.
Dream Offer that offers Rs. 6-10 LPA CTC.
Super Dream Offer that offers Rs. 10 LPA CTC.
