North Maharashtra University established the department of computer science in August 1994. This department of Computer science was stated as School of Computer Science in the year 2011. This school includes three sub-departments: the department of computer application, the Department of Information Technology and Department of Computer Science, and the UGC Computer Centre.   • The M.Sc. program at this university is offered in two main specializations: computer science and Information Technology.
  • For North Maharashtra University School of Computer Science admissions, Advertisements will be published in the newspapers in May or June month every year. Also, the application form prescribed will be available in the department office of the university.
  • Admission to the M.Sc. course will require no entrance exam, and selection will be conducted just based on merit in the previous qualifying examination. The intake capacity of the M.Sc. in Computer Science program is 60 years, and for M.Sc. in Information Technology will be 60 seats annually.
  • The MCA admission will also be purely based on merit, and the candidates should be bachelor's degree holders in any discipline for being eligible. The yearly intake capacity of the MCA course will be 45 seats as per the guidelines.
  • The main strength of the university is in having highly qualified faculties and other experienced senior faculties who enthusiastically teach students and help them understand the functioning of the latest technologies.

This School of Computer Science consists of well-equipped and furnished laboratories for enabling students to practice the practical and for computing platforms. There is sufficient laboratory time for students to make the maximum use of the computing facilities. Other facilities like the library have 3019 tiles and 205 volumes of national and international journals, counseling cell, placement cell, and exceptional guidance for students in competitive exams like NET/SET/GATE.
