Founded in 1887, Nizam College is one of the primary colleges in South India. This public college is situated at Basheerbagh, Hyderabad. It was originally affiliated with Madras University for 60 years before being granted autonomy for undergraduate courses by the UGC. Since then, it has become a constituent college of Osmania University, Hyderabad. It aims to prepare students for professional careers in various fields.
The degree courses are offered in five streams - arts, management, science, computer applications, and commerce. The institution's undergraduate programs are ranked among the best in the state. Nizam College Admission Process
Candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria to apply for Nizam College course admissions.
The admission process of the college involves a series of steps. First, the college will then select based on the student's performance in the qualifying exam. Also, for some courses, an entrance test is a mandatory criterion. Candidates must fill out the application form by the Nizam College admission date.
The prerequisite for UG admission is a 10+2 degree. The minimum requirement for admission to postgraduate programs is a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or an equivalent qualification. Students who pass the TSICET/OUCET are given precedence for MBA and MCA programs.
To apply for UG admission, students must go to DOST's official website and sign up for a DOST ID. Next, complete the application form with the necessary information and fill in the information requested on the application form. The last step of the application process is to pay the application fee with any online payment method. The selection process for UG Courses will be merit-based.
Students must obtain the application form from the college office in case of admission to the MCA or MBA; they must also submit the TSICET or OUCET Entrance Test scorecard. During the counselling, candidates are required to print a paper copy of their application as proof.

Nizam College Placement
The college also boasts of a placement cell, which visits the campus periodically to organize on-campus recruitments in industries. The placement cell conducts mock interviews, seminars, workshops, and industrial visits. It also conducts soft skills training and career guidance. The college also provides internship assistance. Many students are engaged in internships in reputed companies such as Reliance.
It has had good placement records in recent years. About 70% of the college's undergraduate students are placed in the course of an annual placement drive. Companies such as IBM, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro participate in the placement drives of the college. Nizam College's average package offered by these companies is INR 2 LPA.
Nizam College Hyderabad Facilities
The campus of Nizam College is spread across 25 acres of land. The college has a well-equipped library with reference books and textbooks. The college also has separate labs for different work. It also has a computer lab with a good environment. It also has a gym for both boys and girls and a medical clinic on campus. It offers free medical treatment to students.
The college also offers hostel facilities for boys and girls. Undergraduate and postgraduate male students are allotted 98 and 90 rooms, respectively. In contrast, female students are allotted 71 rooms. Nizam College hostel fees annually for the OBC category is INR 10,00, and SC/ST is INR 7,000.
