National Law School of India University Bangalore came into presence through a Notification under the National Law School of India Act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986). It indicated the culmination of efforts by the Judiciary, the Bar Council of India, the Karnataka Bar Council and Bangalore University to reform legal education and establish a centre of excellence for legal education and research in India. The varsity has a sprawling 23-acre campus and houses multiple academic centres, state-of-the-art libraries and hostels. It also offers a variety of law courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

As per NIRF Rankings 2022, NLSIU Bangalore has been ranked #1 in the law category. UGC recognizes courses offered by NLSIU. NLSIU Bangalore Courses Admission

To apply for the specified programme, students must take the CLAT exam (Common Law Admission Test). The results of the CLAT exam will be the only factor considered in the selection process. Students wishing to enrol in one of India's several National Law Colleges must take the CLAT law entrance examination.

LLM from NLSIU Bangalore

NLSIU offers postgraduate LLM courses. Interested students can register for the entrance tests for their chosen course.

  • LL.B. or equivalent degree with a minimum of 55% marks for applicants in general, OBC, and SAP categories and 50% for those in the SC and ST categories.
  • To be admitted to the programme, applicants must pass the CLAT exam.
  • Students will be chosen from a merit list based on their achievement on the admission exam.

  • NLSIU provides a five-year combined B.A.-LL.B. (Hons).

NLSIU Bangalore BA LLB Admission is based on CLAT scores. Thus, it is mandatory criteria to clear the entrance test to be eligible for law admission. In addition, applicants must satisfy the NLSIU Cut off criteria. The CLAT Cut off is 80 (All India) and 235 (Home State).

NLSIU offer five years integrated law program BA LLB. Applicants first have to appear for CLAT. Then, candidates are selected and offered NLSIU admission for BA LLB based on marks obtained in the CLAT exam. Finally, the application forms are out, and applicants can go online to the CLAT website to fill the form.
