The full name of the college is Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College, and this is a women’s college that completed its five decades of establishment and was started with the efforts of the Managing Committee of the DAV College. The founder of the college was the earlier chief justice of the country. He was a great nationalist, an administrator with par excellence social activist, and a committed educationist.

- The college has the good infrastructure with all the facilities in it, and they have good classrooms which are spacious, and they are well furnished and well-structured
