Manipal Institute of Technology came into existence in 1957 as India's first self-financing engineering college. This institute is shortly known as MIT, located at Manipal, Karnataka. In 2000, MIT became the constituent unit of the prestigious university Manipal Academy of Higher Education, commonly known as MAHE or Manipal University. MIT Manipal Karnataka offers 18 UG and 26 PG courses in diverse engineering disciplines. It also allows students to carry out full-time and part-time research activities. NAAC accredits the College with an “A” Grade. As a technological institute, MIT has been ranked and rewarded by various established committees
MIT Manipal Courses are offered in B Tech at the UG level, M Tech, and MCA at the PG level. NBA accredits all the MIT Manipal Engineering Courses. The Full-Time B Tech program is available in various disciplines. B Tech CSE is the flagship program of this College. MIT has collaborated proactively with reputed industries for internships, placements, guest lectures, live projects, and leadership. At Manipal Institute, there are a provision for B Tech and M Tech candidates to pursue their studies ( 1 sem/ 1 year) at any of the associated foreign universities.
Manipal Institute of Technology admission is possible online by visiting the institute's official website for all the courses. Students willing to apply for MIT shall download the MIT Manipal Brochure, which helps in providing complete info about the College and the courses. Students wishing to apply for B Tech admission must register for Manipal Entrance Exam, commonly known as MET. Manipal Institute of Technology B Tech Fees is approximately INR 3.35 Lakhs per annum. Additionally, students who satisfy the MIT Manipal Cutoff criteria will be eligible to get a seat.
In the case of M-Tech, students must have completed their graduation degree along with GATE scores. Students who have not attempted GATE can appear for MIT Manipal Entrance Exam. For admission to the MIT Manipal MCA, students are required to clear their BCA graduation with MET. Those who meet the eligibility standards can fill out the MIT Manipal Application Form.
The admitted students are also given scope for claiming MIT Manipal Scholarship. It is offered for candidates with merit scores in their qualifying exam, reserved candidates, and economically weaker sections. MIT Campus Manipal comprises all the necessary amenities to cater to the needs of students. The on-campus Manipal Institute of Technology Hostel is available for males and Females for INR 90k to 1.82 Lakhs. The fees will be liable on the type of occupancy.
