Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology Admission
Candidates for admission to the four-year, full-time BE program must fulfill the requirements listed below, per the institute. The candidate must have received a recognized board certificate in 10+2 or its equivalent with PCM or PCB.
MBSCET is a minority institution with an approved intake of 330 students. Students are admitted through two quotas - 165 in the Government of J&K quota and 165 in the Minority quota.
- For the Government Quota, the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), J&K conducts a Common Entrance Test. Based on the test merit, BOPEE assigns institutions and disciplines to selected candidates. Candidates should follow BOPEE instructions, and BOPEE's decisions are final.
- The Minority Quota consists of 165 seats reserved for Sikh candidates. Sikh candidates must take the MBS Special Common Entrance Test (SCET), conducted by the Chairman of the Constitutional Permanent Supervisory and Monitoring Committee. Sikh candidates eligible for MBSCET must apply separately for admission against minority seats. Selection is based on merit in SCET, and candidates will be assigned disciplines during counseling sessions at MBSCET. The College will issue a separate notification after SCET results are declared.
