Madras School of Social work was brought up in the year in a place called Chennai, South India. This is an Autonomous college which has been accredited by NAAC and is affiliated to the University of Madras. MSSW was started and founded by Mary Clubwala Jadhav under the aegis of Madras State branch of Indian Conference of Social Work and Guild of Services and Society of Social Education and Research and is a member of Association of Schools of Social Work This Social work institute is affiliated to the International Association of Schools of Social Work. Madras School of Social work ranking is 3rd best social work college of India and 1st in the whole of South India.
- Madras School of Social Work (MSSW) imparts programs such as Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) as the course under bachelor degree and Master of Social Work (MSW), Master of Arts (M.A) and Master of Science (M.Sc.). Besides, this institute also has M.Phil and Ph.D as doctoral courses and there are also PG Diploma program at post-graduation level.
- The seat allotment for BSW and B.Sc. course will be made on the merit based in the previous qualifying examination in 10+2. Applicants wanting to apply for the courses in MSSW will have visit the official website online.
- Candidates who have completed minimum 3 years graduation degree will be eligible for MSW and M.A course. Madras School of Social work admissions for M.Sc. will be eligible if they have complete graduation in counseling psychology or psychology.
- The selection process for post-graduation courses seats will be allotted based on the entrance test followed by group discussion and personal interview. Students will be relevant work experience and graduation degree will be eligible for PG diploma programs.
- Madras School of Social Work fee structure for MSW will be INR 38,800 for aided program and MSW (SF) fee will be INR 40,750 annually. BSW fee structure in MSSW, Chennai will be INR 48,000 and B.Sc. Pychology fee will be INR 53,000 annually.
- Limited numbers of hostel are available distinctively for men and women. The students who are from outside the Tamil Nadu state will be given preference. Once the admission of students are done in college, will have to apply separately for hostel.
