LBS College of Engineering is a constituent element of the LBS Centre for science and technology. The college was established in 1993. The center is headed by the Chief Minister Of Kerala and other higher governing bodies. It is a self-financed engineering college under the government of Kerala. The institute is affiliated with Kerala Technical University and has received approval for AICTE. The center's objective was to establish more and more technical educational institutions to impart knowledge in various disciplines. The primary focus was on research and activities that lead to self-employment & entrepreneurship opportunities.
LBS college of engineering courses is available at undergraduate & postgraduate levels in different disciplines. The B.tech course is offered in 6 streams, while the M Tech is offered in three different streams with an intake of 18 seats. The available engineering streams are CSE, Mechanical, ECE, IT, Civil, and EEE. The annual intake for B Tech courses varies from 30 to 120. LBS College CSE branch offers great exposure to the students regarding placement and knowledge. All the respective department offers the requisite infrastructure.
LBS college of engineering admission to undergraduate & postgraduate courses is based on entrance test merit. Kerala Engineering architecture medical (KEAM) test is conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE) for admissions to B Tech programs. The KEAM registration date generally falls in the first week of April. The KEAM results will be announced in the first week of August, followed by counseling in the last week. The test entails of two papers; the first is for Physics & Chemistry, and the second is for mathematics. Students must clear the exam with a good rank equivalent to the LBS engineering course cutoff.
In addition, certain seats are reserved under the LBS college of engineering Management Quota. Students must ensure the eligibility criteria. Besides, 15% of seats are reserved for NRIs. The lateral entry to courses is open for diploma holders. The number of seats reserved for lateral admissions is 10% of the total number of seats.
LBS college of engineering campus spans an area of 52 acres. The location is 12 kms away from the Kasargod railway station and 75km from the Mangalore airport. The campus is well fortified with modern amenities. On-campus facilities include Hi-Tech Laboratories, hostels, bus survives, a central library, an ATM facility, and cooperative societies. The central library comprises more than 25000 textbooks with a good referral service, OPAC facility, and reprographics facility.
LBS college of engineering Kasaragod hostel is available for both boys and girls with good mess and other facilities. There is a separate committee governing the hostel rules and discipline. The LBS Mini Fab Lab is an open-access library offering a blend of unique technology solutions to enhance learning in tools and techniques.

The fee structure of LBS college varies according to the admission category. For instance, merit quota fees for B Tech are approximately INR 35k. In contrast, the LBS college of engineering Management Quota fee is INR 65k. Students securing admission under the NRI quota must pay the fees of INR 1 Lakh per annum.
