Kurnool Medical College (KMC) started in 1956 to provide a quality management education. They wanted to make sure people in the Rayalaseema area of Andhra Pradesh could learn medicine. It is the third medical college in the state and is affiliated with Sri Venkateshwara University. The Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Medical Council of India gave its approval. The college offers MBBS, MD, and MS at the UG and PG levels.
To get into Kurnool Medical College, you need to pass the NEET and qualify for the NEET cutoff. After passing, you must go through counseling. The college is associated with Kurnool Government General Hospital. Right now, the hospital sees about 3000 patients every day from Kurnool and nearby areas, even from Telangana and Karnataka. Despite having 1,150 beds, there are only 300 doctors, and many buildings need repairs. They urgently need new, modern buildings. Once the upgrades are done, Kurnool Government General Hospital will be the biggest healthcare center in Andhra Pradesh.

I think our college is too good and they also tell that it’s been there from a very long time. They tell that our college is a very old medical college. We have had a great exposure in the medical field because we had various clinical cases in our college. I don’t feel KMC, Kurnool is having any negative things to tell. Kurnool Medical College admission is given to state quota students more like 85% of the seats in MBBS whereas the other remaining seats like 15% are given on the All India quota. KMC, Kurnool fee structure is INR 23,135 per annum and the fee is so less because of the government ownership.
