The K. J. Somaiya Medical College is managed by the Somaiya Medical Trust and it is a private institute owned by the trust. K.J.Somaiya's Medical College Hospital & Research Center was established in 1991. The medical institute is affiliated to the (MUHS) Maharashtra University of Health Sciences located in Nashik. Institute is located in the Complex called as Somaiya Ayurvihar, which holds 22.5 hectare land in Sion, Mumbai.
The number of doctors at Medical College has grown high over the past years. There are now nearly 129 qualified and well experienced faculties and around 78 resident best doctors working in different 21 equipped departments. The university is affiliated with the KJ Somaiya Hospital & Research Center, which provides society with affordable medical services in various disciplines and also participates in the National Health Programs.

K.J Somaiya Medical College is affiliated to MUHS as I was checking for MCI approved college and found this to be the best college ever. I like the curriculum it is for 5 and half years duration for which there is 1 year of internship. Fee structure of MBBS at KJSMC is not so high but not so less to so then it is approx. INR 46 lakh then when this fee is cleared per year wise then it would be close to 10 lakhs. I stay at hostel so then fee of hostel ranges from INR 1 lakh – 1.25 lakhs. MBBS admissions to KJSMC is through counselling based that is through NEET.
