KMC Mangalore is situated in Mangalore and has two parts: the Centre for Basic Sciences at Bejai and the main campus at Light House Hill Road. The campus features six teaching hospitals, the T M A Pai Convention Centre, and a big indoor sports complex.

Once the college came into existence, there was a need for a instruction hospital that could provide clinical facilities to students. In 1960, that long-felt need was fulfilled when the Medical Relief Society of South Kanara merged with the college in setting up a hospital in Manipal. Kasturba Hospital started with 150 beds. Today, Kasturba Medical College and Hospital has 2032 beds.

Kasturba Medical College Course Admission
At KMC, the MBBS program lasts for four and a half years, including a one-year internship. Admission is based on NEET UG scores. For 15% of seats, counselling is done by DGHS, New Delhi. If you have any leftover seats, go back to the college for counselling. The remaining 85% of seats are filled through counselling by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
To qualify for NEET, general category candidates need a minimum 50 percentile, and reserved category candidates need a 40 percentile. Candidates applying for KEA counselling must meet Karnataka State's eligibility norms. After DGHS declares vacant seats, the college may hold spot counselling for eligible candidates.

Kasturba Medical College Scholarship
KMC provides scholarships to help students financially. Students who rank within the top 1000 in NEET UG can get a full fee waiver called Free. Those ranking within the top 5000 may qualify for a merit-cum-means scholarship. Scholarships are also available for Post Graduate (PG) students in various programs.
