The Karpaga Vinayaga college of Engineering and Technology was founded in 2001. It is accredited by AICTE, NBA, and MCI. It is affiliated with Anna University. The university is not intimidated by its final dream of becoming a recognized university but to educate students by providing advance quality technical education. Campus is of 63 acres with mainly 8 buildings, including an Internet, Xerox canter, a gymnasium, a fully equipped leisure centre, etc.
- Institute has got 130 full-time teachers and 120 technical support members (staff). The proportion of students per faculty is 15: 1.MoUs affiliated with Michigan Technological University, USA, G.K. Experience in PVT.LTD for research, consulting, industrial inspection and mediation purposes. Students who passed out are located in several highly respected companies, such as Infosys, Orchid, Innovative Health Care, Cryo Banks International, and Microtherapeutics Research & Wipro.
- The school focuses its attention on three dimensions of development, academic excellence and sporting achievements and in the game, as well as the commitment to the common good.
- The Library has 10,156 titles, 41,000 book volumes, 117 national journals and 1028 international journals. The collection also includes manuals and encyclopaedias. There are around 1000 backup volumes and 1000 construction projects.
The cafeterias of the institute are a perfect place to eat, have fun. The cafeteria offers a best gastronomic tour. The hostel is located within the campus area, a short distance from the main building. Hostels have a water supply 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (RO / RO) and students receive daily newspapers to read and update with all comfort facilities. Institute is located near Chengalput, 64 km from the city of Chennai.
