Jeppiaar SRR Engineering College was started by Col. Dr. Jeppiaar in the year 2002 which is now headed by Dr. Regeena Jeppiaar. The objective is to promote quality education in the country to transform the students into responsive human resource. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to Anna University.
- The vision of the college is to become Centre for Research and Development in Science and Technology field and achieve academic excellence.
- The mission is to become effective institution for technical education to meet the demand of the industry and society.
- The institute offers B.E courses with specializations in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering and M.E course with specialization in Embedded System Technologies and Computer Science and Engineering.
- The college covers 30 Acres of campus and has various facilities like library, research center, seminar hall, transportation, cafeteria, indoor and outdoor games, medical, hostel and ATM within the campus.
The library has nearly 600 CD and DVD, 45 national and 15 international journals and nearly about 20000 books for each department. The institute has separate hostel for both men and women within the campus at an affordable fee of INR 38.4k.
