Public universities include JNTUH. With eight engineering colleges connected with it and jurisdiction over all of Telangana, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological Institution Hyderabad (JNTUH) is a prominent university. JNTUH NIRF ranking is 62nd in the Engineering category in 2021. Additionally, it has received approval from AICTE & UGC and Grade "A" accreditation from NAAC.

Currently, JNTUH provides undergraduate and graduate programs with various specializations in the important fields of engineering and technology. In addition, the institution provides a large number of courses through JNTUH distance learning. The university offers B.Tech admission to JNTUH students based on their performance on the TS EAMCET and TS ECET entrance exams. Other national and state-level exams, like GATE and TS-ICET, are also a part of the JNTUH admissions procedure for programs like M.Tech and MBA.

The JNTUH courses include B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.B.A., MCA, and M.Pharma. Except for the M.Tech. JNTUH Part-time program for all PG programs lasts for two years. There are full-time and part-time options for the courses. JNTUH provides 24 specializations for its four-year B.Tech program, which is its flagship program. Admission to the B.Tech at JNTUH is strictly based on the results of the TS-EAMCET entrance exam, followed by TS-EAMCET counseling for final seat allotment at JNTUH. The fee of JNTUH's B.Tech program is INR 1.19 lakh per year. The application fee for JNTUH is INR 200, while the JNTUH registration fee is INR 20,000.

Although the university has a strong track record for placement, numerous global corporations have visited the campus to participate in recent JNTUH placement drives. A few prominent firms, like Amazon and Microsoft, took part in the placement sessions, and Microsoft provided the institution with the JNTUH's highest wage package of INR 41 LPA.

Since its founding, JNTUH has won numerous accolades and been acknowledged by illustrious organizations for its demonstrable teaching and classroom excellence. The faculty at JNTUH has received several Meritorious State Teachers Awards, and 60 to 70 percent of the faculty members have doctorates in their fields of instruction and research.

Since JNTUH is a government institution, its tuition is extremely reasonable. However, JNTUH provides financial aid to deserving and needy students while considering the annual family income. The JNTUH is aware of students' financial situations and provides a range of JNTUH scholarships, student free ships, financial aid, fee waivers, and other financial assistance to deserving and needy students based on their performance on entrance exams or in previous academic coursework.
