Janardan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidyapeeth was founded in 1973, inspired by Pandit Janardhan Rai Nagar to elevate the down-trampled commoner in the medieval state Mewar. The main objective was to uplift the society and vitalize the democratic ethics over the area of Rajasthan.
- This Vidhyapeeth was fostering education to deprived sections of the community and focused on providing education to adults in consonance with philological culture.
- This institute has constantly been promoting social consciousness and uplifting the disadvantaged society. Besides this, it has strived to promote higher education in the national language.
- This institute provides special provisions to fulfill the developmental needs and cultural education of the tribal society in the region and promote Rajasthani culture and history through education.
This institute is established to fulfill the regional needs like adult education and Sahitya institute promoting research to preserve traditions and heritage of Rajasthan. There was also an institute established to provide education in social work to employ the people of Rajasthan. It also introduced an exchange program for students and faculty with the Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania USA.
