Jaipur National University's School of Distance Education and Learning (SODEL) started in 2008-2009. The University received approval from the Joint Committee of AICTE-UGC-DEC to offer various UG and PG programs in distance learning mode.

The focus at Jaipur National University Distance Education is to provide quality education just like regular colleges and universities but in an accessible way.
