IITT College of Engineering has been established in the academic year 1996 by Mrs. Rama Sinha, Ex Indian Institute of Technology, in technical education. It is the first Engineering College of Himachal Pradesh.
The college is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur, Punjab Technical University Jalandhar, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
