One of the six new IITs designated as Institute of National Importance is the Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai. It was founded in 2016 by MHRD, the Government of India. Currently. Bhilai IIT is functioning from its transit campus Government Engineering College Raipur. IIT Bhilai temporary campus is located on old Dhamtari Road in Raipur. IIT Bhilai Permanent Campus's architectural design receives coveted GRIHA Awards. The campus area is spread over 447 acres of land. It is located in the village of Kutelabatta, Bhilai-Durg district of Chhattisgarh. The proposed campus is predictable to be equipped with infrastructure accommodating 2500 students in the first phase.
IIT Bhilai offers four-year B Tech, two-year M Tech, MSc in Science, and Ph.D. in Engineering, Liberal Arts, and Sciences. IITBH uses a fractal academic system that involves continuous evaluation of candidates and more options on subjects they wish to pursue outside the core subjects. IIT Bhilai has signed MOU with Bhilai Steel Plant for industry-academic collaborations. In addition, BSP offers internships and project work opportunities to the B Tech, M Tech, and Ph.D. students of IITBH.
Admission to all academic programs at IIT Bhilai is dependent on results from entrance tests like JEE Advanced, GATE, IIT JAM, UGC NET, CSIR NET, etc. B Tech is the flagship program of IITBH. The four-year IIT Bhilai B. Tech fee costs INR 4,90,000, covering tuition, health facility costs, and other fees. Admission to the B Tech is based on JEE Advanced Results followed by counseling. IIT Bhilai B. Tech data science and artificial intelligence course has been offered since 2020. GATE Results determine admission to the IIT Bhilai M Tech.
IIT Bhilai placement program includes an 11-week IIT Bhilai summer internship and a 4-week winter internship. IIT Bhilai B Tech Admission
IIT Bhilai Computer and Science Engineering is renowned for being its flagship program. The IIT Bhilai CSE cutoff of the B. Tech program is 3151 to 5322. Admission to the B Tech depends on JEE Advanced scores followed by JOSAA Counselling. The cost of the B. Tech program at IIT Bhilai is INR 2.35 lakhs annually. Earlier, the B. IIT Bhilai MTech Admission
Three specialties are open to applicants for the institute's MTech program. For selection, an applicant must have either a valid GATE score or, if they obtained their B Tech from any of the IITs, a CGPA of 8.0. Suppose students who don't have a B Tech degree from IITs, and then the GATE is mandatory. In addition, applicants must satisfy the IIT Bhilai M Tech cutoff. The cutoff scores will be created based on GATE scores.
The COAP registration number is required to complete the IIT Bhilai M Tech application process. Candidates are therefore urged to register at the COAP portal first. Only the COAP portal will be used to deliver the offer letter. Selected candidates will be communicated for a written exam/interview after the IIT Bhilai GATE cutoff is made public. Candidates must go to the IIMBH website and select the admissions option to apply for IIT Bhilai admission in the MTech program. IIT Bhilai MSc Admission
IIT Bhilai M.Sc. specializations—Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Computing—are offered. IIT JAM score followed by counseling is the admission criteria for IITBH. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 55%. (Candidates in the SC/ST/PwD categories receive 50%).

IIT Bhilai PhD Admission
Seven specialties are open to candidates interested in pursuing a Ph.D. IIT Bhilai. Candidates for the final selection must have a current GATE or NET score. Then, only chosen candidates will be contacted for a written exam/interview. Candidates may also meet the prerequisites listed below to be admitted to the IIT Bhilai Ph.D. program.
