IGNOU Mumbai Regional Centre was established in January 2009 after the bifurcation of the Pune region. Its primary objective is to offer enhanced student support services to the growing number of learners in the region, particularly in the backward and minority areas of Mumbai. This regional Centre covers the Mumbai Metropolitan and the Konkan Region of Maharashtra, encompassing districts such as Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Ratnagiri.
