IGNOU Gangtok Regional Centre began operating in 2000; since then, Learner Support Centres (LSC) have been active in each district. Currently, Sikkim has 8 LSCs, including 4 regular study centres, 3 special study centres, and 1 programme study centre. Each district in the state has at least one study centre. IGNOU Gangtok Admission
Admission to the majority of IGNOU courses is on merit. (Marks attained on the pertinent qualifying examinations) Whereas IGNOU administers the entrance exam for B.Ed and MBA. To be accepted into these programmes, prospective students must ensure the eligibility criteria.
IGNOU Gangtok UG Admissions
Candidates seeking admission to UG Courses should have completed their 10+2/HSC/Intermediate or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Selection of the applicant is based on academic merit in the last qualifying exam.
For admission to the B.Ed, Candidates should have 50% marks in their UG or PG degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Commerce/Humanity. OR, Candidates should have at least 55% marks in their Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Technology.
The applicant should be a qualified in-service teacher in elementary education (Nursery/Primary) with a minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience when applying for the B.Ed program. The IGNOU B.Ed entrance exam will be administered online. Candidates are required to register online by logging into the official website.
After the examination, IGNOU publishes the results of the B.Ed entrance test. Based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam and the fulfilment of eligibility criteria, candidates are shortlisted for admission to the B.Ed program.
IGNOU Gangtok PG Admission
At the PG level, IGNOU Gangtok Centre offers various MBA, MTTM and MA streams. A least UG degree in a relevant field with 50% marks is required for admission to the IGNOU graduate programme. Admission to these courses is only subject to meeting the necessary degree's academic requirements. In the case of an MBA, students are mandated to appear for the entrance exam.
IGNOU Gangtok MBA Admission
The IGNOU MBA is a popular distance learning program designed to provide knowledge and skills in various aspects of business and management. The total duration of the MBA program at IGNOU is a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 4 years, allowing students to complete the course at their own pace.
The distance learning format allows working professionals and individuals with other commitments to pursue the MBA program without disrupting their work or personal life. IGNOU Gangtok Distance MBA fees INR 31,000 per annum.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years) from a recognized university or institution. There is no specific age limit for admission to the MBA program at IGNOU.
IGNOU MBA Entrance Exam: To be eligible for admission to the MBA program, candidates must qualify in the OPENMAT examination conducted by IGNOU. The OPENMAT exam is typically held twice yearly, usually in February and August.

IGNOU Gangtok Assignment
The Indira Gandhi National Open University has allowed students to evaluate the progress of their assignment submissions for the December & June TEE. On their IGNOU Gangtok login area, the students get all of their assignments. Students must check their portals at admission periodically.ignou.ac.in/changed data/status assignment.ASP.
