Vels University (Vels Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies) offers hostel facilities to more than 1,000 students who are studying on the campus. There is also an international Hostel which is provided to accommodate all students from other countries like Nigeria, South Sudan, Egypt, the Gulf, and many others. These hostels contain many facilities with a comfortable learning environment.
There are five hostels: UG Men's, UG Women's, PG Men's, PG Women's and International Students' Hostel. Rooms are offered on a sharing basis (2 to 4) and come with all the essential amenities that, include air-conditioned rooms. The management of the hostel is undertaken by more than 100 staff members headed by a residential director to ensure safety and maintain discipline in the hostels.

Candidates willing to opt hostel must submit the Vels University Hostel application form. First, you need to enrol in any of the courses offered by the University. The admittance in most cases depends on first come, first served. However, preference is given for the students who come from far places. The admission is granted for one academic year only. The stay in the hostel is liable to be renewed for fresh admission every year. All fees and security deposit should also be paid at the time of admission itself.
The hostel fees vary dependent on the type of accommodation you choose. There are Double Sharing and Triple Sharing Occupancy, along with AC/non-AC facilities.
