Rajalakshmi Engineering College Hostel

REC has a separate hostel for boys and girls, with a capacity of about 500 boys and 200 girls. Single-room accommodation is also provided for final-year and PG students. They can use their computers in their rooms. Separate seating arrangements are provided for boys and girls.

Rajlakshmi Engineering College Hostel rules and regulations:

  • Students should occupy the rooms allotted to them by the Warden (Principal).
  • Students should not indulge in anti-social and undesirable activities, including alcohol, tobacco, gambling, ragging, etc.
  • Students are answerable for the hygiene of their rooms.
  • No student will be permitted to leave the hostel based on a phone call.
  • Parents are requested to provide a list of approved visitors/local guardians.
  • Students will be allowed to go home only if the college is closed continuously for five days or more.
  • Any student desirous of attending a function in the house, marriage or any other ceremony would be allowed to go only if the parents request the principal.
