Pondicherry University Hostel Facilities
Pondicherry University Hostel Admission
Since hostel facilities are available only in limited numbers, accommodation is possible for about one-third of the students admitted in every course. Admission to a hostel is granted at the recommendation of the Head of Department, subject to room availability with final approval of the Chief Warden.
Students coming from distant places are given first preference for hostel rooms. That means not everyone will get a room, and it is applied early, with some being subjected to necessary criteria. It ensures that those who really need the accommodation most, such as those coming from far-off places, will be considered first in the process.
