Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology (Deemed To be University) offers eco-friendly and comfortable campus life to students. The Periyar Maniammai University Campus is spread over 114.85 acres. It is a clean, pollution-free, and energy-efficient campus designed to support the development of learning and research. Though it is a rural area, PMIST still offers all the facilities one would expect in an urban complex.

To provide for the needs of the students staying on the campus, The University has three Girls' hostels and one Boys' hostel. Periyar Maniammai University hostel provides a cosy space with all the requirements for an enjoyable stay.

The hostel provides various facilities, including:

There are also sick rooms in all the hostels for students needing care.

Periyar Maniammai University Mess and Dining

Hygienic steam cooking is used to prepare nutrient-rich meals.
Dining halls are equipped with audio and video systems.
Purified drinking water is available.
Food is customized for students from different states and countries.
Dining halls can accommodate over 1000 students at once, with the Chakravarthi hostel dining area able to serve 500 students together.
The hostel kitchen covers an area of 970.63 sq.m and uses steam cooking and gas stoves.
The menu is decided by the Students Mess Committees, ensuring healthy and nutritious meals are served regularly.

Periyar Maniammai University Hostel Admission

Provisional hostel admission will be strictly based on the conduct of students during the last semester.

Periyar Maniammai University Hostel Applications from students must reach the Campus Administrator or Warden a month prior to the last working day of the previous semester.
Hostel application forms must be submitted properly to the Campus Administrator or Warden, along with one stamp-size and one passport-size photo.
The authorized person in the institute should sign the admission form.
Provisional admission to the hostel and subject to the ATKT rule.
On check-in and check-out, the student has to submit a Room Inventory Form.

Periyar Maniammai University Hostel Rules and Regulations

Students are required to read the hostel rules before signing the application form-a copy will be made available.

Hostel rules will also be put up on the notice boards.
In case students require a duplicate key, they should apply to the Hostel Warden.
A complaint form or register will be kept for students to make their grievances known.
Students should forward their cleanliness complaints to the Hostel Warden.
The mess should be informed well in advance if a student leaves and will not require food.
In case of any illness, food will be served in the room once the student has deposited their ID card.
The main gate will be closed at 7:30 p.m., and no person will be allowed to leave after this hour.
The Hostel Committee will conduct periodic inspections.
Students who desire to absent themselves must have an out pass with an undertaking.
The Hostel Warden shall distribute a suggestion form.
The suggestion box will be opened by the Hostel Warden every fortnight in the presence of the Director/Dean and student representative.
