Jadavpur University Hostel

Jadavpur University, located in Kolkata, provides hostel facilities for both male and female students and offers affordable accommodation for outstation students. Here's an overview of the hostel accommodations, the procedure to join the hostel, the facilities, the fee structure, etc.  

Jadavpur University has 13 hostel buildings, 4 for girls and 9 for boys. It can accommodate up to 1600 students. Also, there is a separate hostel facility for research scholars. Admissions are provided on a first-come-first-served basis.

Procedure to join Jadavpur University hostel:

Students who seek hostel accommodation must obtain a prescribed application form from the college office and submit it to the Office of the Dean. On joining the hostel, students must pay INR 3000/- in all, including Mess Advance. No Caution deposit is taken. Besides, they have to pay monthly seat rent & electricity charges of Rs.15/ and Rs.10/- respectively. Hostel boarders must abide by the hostel rules framed from time to time. The boarders may be cancelled for non-payment of mess dues, seat rent, or electricity charges.

Jadavpur University hostel fee structure:

The hostel accommodation is very affordable in this University. The major costs would only be mess charges of INR 1800 to 2000 per month and provided with quality food. The annual Jadavpur University hostel fee structure will be the same for boys and girls.
