The hostel facilities at Dr MGR University (Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute) are excellent as they will provide comfort and security along with a homely feeling to the students. It was established in 1987. The separate hostels for boys & girls are available on campus in a peaceful environment. The hostels will prove to be ideal for the distant place students, so that they can feel home like experience.
The boy's hostel has four blocks with three floors each, hence a total of 570 rooms available. On the other hand, the girl's hostel has one block with three floors and 360 rooms. The hostels are well designed in such a way that the stay will be hassle-free as well as pleasant. In addition, separate hostels are also available for students undergoing MBBS courses.
The University offers ample top-notch facilities to satisfy students' needs.
Admission to the hostel is given on availability with the request of the student. To be eligible, a student has to be enrolled in the University, and they must apply for hostel accommodation during admission. Rooms are available as shared accommodation basis with three students in a room. The student can prefer AC or non-AC rooms while filling up the MGR University Hostel application form.
To secure accommodation in the hostel, some deposit in the form of hostel charges must be paid in advance to complete the term. After accepting admission, students have to follow the Dr MGR University Hostel Rules and Regulations provided by the hostel warden for maintaining discipline and security within the premises. A minimum one-month notice is required before a student may leave the hostel. Rules regarding visitor access into the hostel are strictly monitored, and hence, only after ascertaining proper security one is allowed to enter the hostel.
Dr MGR University Hostel Fees structure for B Tech and other courses will vary depending on the type of occupancy you choose. It varies between INR 60,000 to 80,000, including Mess Charges and Other Miscellaneous Service Charges.
