Ashoka University Hostel

Hostel Life at Ashoka University invites you to this diverse and talented community of scholars to reside in a tight learning community committed to creating safe, comfortable, and vibrant residence life experiences for all. To promote civil and cordial participation in campus residence life, students agree to familiarize themselves with and adhere to this policy. Any violation of this policy is a disciplinary infraction with a subsequent course of action determined by the appropriate University committee.

Rules and Regulations of Ashoka University Hostel:

The Ashoka hostel rules and regulations suggest that certain rules govern the safety, harmony, and a conducive environment for living. Some of the key highlights are as follows:

  • Ashoka University, including all residence halls, is Alcohol, Smoking, and Drugs prohibited.
  • Students are not allowed to check in/check out from 12:00 A.M. to 6:00 A.M. Entry and exit from the campus during these hours are restricted.

Here is the Visitor Regulations:

  • From 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. time, visitors can enter the campus.
  • Parents or guardians are allowed to visit students' rooms only during the move-in/move-out periods or in case of a medical emergency after obtaining prior permission.
  • Off-campus visitors must carry their university ID and are restricted to the common areas of residence halls only, such as the common room.
  • Inter-Hall Visitation Students are allowed to visit other residence halls, both men's and women's halls, between 8:00 A.M. and 12:30 A.M. provided signing in and signing out in manual registers.
    Roommates' rights to privacy and comfort take precedence over visitation rights. If a roommate asks a visitor to leave, the visitor will leave immediately, no matter what the time is.
  • Keys and ID cards shall not be tampered with, photocopied or loaned to anyone.
  • Students and their visitors are responsible for the maintenance of their rooms and university-owned property. Personal property brought on campus is the student's responsibility.
  • Students are not allowed to bring private vehicles, pets, weapons, or hazardous materials onto campus.
