Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, also known as HICET, Coimbatore, was founded in 2000 by eminent industrialist Thiru.T.S.R.Khannaiyann in Tamil Nadu. The institute is approved under HICET, accredited NAAC A grade, and affiliated to Anna University. The institute's primary objective is to prepare the candidates for leadership in corporate industry sectors and develop the candidates as expert engineers through value-added technical education and unique learning practices.

HICET is a private autonomous college in Coimbatore accredited by NAAC, AICTE and NBA for its official academic functioning with quality education. This college runs with affiliation to AU of Chennai. HICET is ranked as 179 for its academic performance in the B-Tech course by India Today in 2020. - The B-Tech course in HICET is given with fees amount of 1.25 L per annum, to which the total fees structure will be 5 Lakhs.
- The MBA fees amount of HICET is INR 1.2 L per year, and the amount of the total fees will be 2.4 Lakhs for the entire duration.
- The BE course fees in HICET are INR 4 Lakhs for the entire course, and per annum, it will cost 1 Lakh.
- The fees cost for PG engg courses like ME is 40 K per year, and the entire course would cost 80 K in total.
- Lastly, the MCA program in HICET is offered at 60,000 per year. Therefore, the entire course is provided for INR 1.2 Lakhs.
