Haribhai V. Desai College Pune is recognized as one of the leading academic institutions in Pune. Haribhai V Desai College Pune was established in 1984 by The Poona Gujarati Kelvani Mandal. It started as an organization to cater to the Gujrati minority and traditional corporate sections of society.
The College is located in the traditional commercial area of ??Pune city with high density surrounding it. This promoted female students from neighboring houses to get an education. Originally, the College was housed in RCM School and Junior College and was affiliated with Pune University. The College moved to its new location in 1987 and was a single faculty until 1993. Recently HV Desai College received the "Best College" award from the University of Pune. The NAAC has accredited the College with an "A" grade.
HV Desai College has experienced remarkable growth over the years. And today, it is not only one of the most prestigious coeducational institutions in the city of Pune. Long forgotten as a Gujarati minority college, today, it is one of the most vibrant & prominent institutions in Pune. It has students from all walks of life. It has an accomplished faculty of approximately eighty faculty members and over two thousand five hundred students.

Haribhai V Desai College Admission
The College offers UG and PG courses in science, arts, commerce, and computer applications in various specializations. The College offers BSc, BA, BBA; B. Com, and BCA programs at the undergraduate level. The PG level offers admission to the M Com, MCA, and MSc in various disciplines.
For admission to the Haribhai V Desai College UG Courses, the applicant must have HSC/12. or pass the equivalent examination in a relevant discipline with an overall mark of 50% from a recognized educational body. Selection is based solely on merit.

The H V Desai College Placement Office was established in 2005. It plays a crucial role in providing students with the best employment opportunities. It provides industry-focused education based on the requirements of current industry trends and equips students with skills and knowledge. Training in soft skills, business nurturing, training in CV writing, mock interviews, pre-employment interviews, etc., are all offered during the apprenticeship. This way, students improve their employability and confidently come to the campus interview. In addition, the Institute has partnered with renowned industry leaders and invites them to campus to provide in-company training for industry exposure.
In the academic year 2019-2020, a job fair was held in association with aspire knowledge and skills India. Around 14 companies participated in the job fair. And 536 students participated, and 100 students were placed in this campaign.
