The Nankana Sahib Education Trust founded Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in 1956. It is one of the oldest institutions in North India, located at Gilli Park, Ludhiana, Punjab. Earlier, GNDEC was affiliated with Panjab University. At present, it is administrated under Punjab Technical University Jalandhar. GNE Ludhiana is the first engineering college in Punjab, which was conferred autonomous status by UGC in 2012. It is also one of the few technical colleges of Punjab selected for World Bank financial assistance under TEQIP. GNDEC Ludhiana has signed several Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) with foreign universities to exchange professors and students.
GNDEC Ludhiana Courses are available in B Tech, BBA, and BCA at the UG level. It offers M Tech, MBA, and MCA at the PG level. Besides, it offers admission to the PG Diploma and Ph.D. courses. Since 2006, Guru Nanak College has continuously been listed among the top 50 engineering colleges in the nation by numerous independent national organizations like India Today, Outlook, CSR, Star TV, etc. GNDEC Ludhiana NIRF Ranking is 201 for the B Tech.
GNE Ludhiana Placement cell ensures 100% assistance to the students. All the Engineering students must undergo min 12 months of industrial training as a part of the academic curriculum in choose branch.
