GMC, Mumbai, offers a full-time MBBS degree course at the undergraduate level. The eligibility criteria for MBBS admission at GMC are mentioned below.

  • The applicants applying for the course should have passed the 10+2 level board examination.
  • At the HSC level, the mandatory subjects should be Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • The applicants must have secured at least 50% marks in all subjects calculated together.
  • 45% aggregate marks for the candidates belonging to the OBC category.
  • 40% aggregate marks for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories.

MBBS Selection Criteria in GMC

  • To take admission in the MBBS course at GMC, the applicants have to appear in the national level entrance test NEET.
  • 15% of the total intake in the MBBS course at GMC will be granted through the all-India category.
  • The remaining 85% of seats will be for the candidates applying through the state quota.
  • For AIQ seats, counselling will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The remaining 85% of seats will be filled through Maharashtra State Counselling Authority.
  • Following NEET Results, candidates must register for counselling. The procedure includes online registration, choice filling, making payment.
  • The final seat allotment will be based on the student's NEET Merit Rank and preferences made by the candidate.

This like a government leading medical institute not only has reputation at national level but also in the international level. This medical college is governed by the Maharashtra government imparting UG and PG studies with the super speciality facilities for the students and patients. Grant Medical College ranking has been granted as 7th rank in the year 2016 and has secured almost 163 score for the infrastructure. GMC, Mumbai admissions are usually through the national eligibility entrance test called as NEET. 85% of the seats of the MBBS are for the state quota students for which the GMC, Mumbai fee structure would be around Rs.79,000 PA approximately.
